YOU JUST GAVE ME A ROUTE IDEA! THANK YOU!

Something is wrong with the engine spec of this locomotive... :hehe:

What is the fastest locomotive in the world now? It is actually something wrong with the engine spec,it is an old engine spec to. I thought this was funny enough to share... it was decelerating so quick that I had to pause it just to get this screenshot...

Trust me, they bug the crews too. I had a guy the other day who walked up to me and told me he had a problem with how we parked the train.

I love when we're breaking a unit train up in our yard. Theres a grade corssing 45 car lengths past the end of our yard lead and if someone flips off my engineer or honks their horn when he has to block it, he'll call out over the radio "take as much time as you need. I'm in no hurry"

Sorry about the bump, but I somehow managed to get the hot rod F7a to this speed after messing with the engine spec a little to much... :hehe:

Perhaps there was a "Maximum overdrive" button in the cab of the locomotive somewhere? Anyways, this is why you shouldn't even think about messing with the engine spec of this locomotive. Also had to pause just to get the snip because... well,it should be obvious because of the speed. Hopefully it wasn't a huge bump anyways.

It can't pull anything (In DCC mode at least.) due to the fact that it accelerates so fast,it will derail even with derailment off when trying to pull something. But if it didn't derail when pulling something, then it could do that with ease I suspect.

In case you're wondering:
160,761 Miles per Hour= Mach 211.19221088
160,761 Miles per Hour = 0.00023979308204 times the speed of light in air
160,761 Miles per Hour = 0.0002397211655 times the speed of light in space

And in case you're wondering about . . .
The speed of sound = 761.20705082 Miles per Hour
The speed of light in air = 670,415,504.21 Miles per Hour
The speed of light in space = 670,616,629.38 Miles per Hour

For comparison, the fastest man-made object ever made, NASA's Juno Mission Spacecraft, travels at 25 miles per second, so . . .
25 miles per second = 90,000 Miles per Hour
25 miles per second = Mach 118.23327162
25 miles per second = 0.00013424510536 times the speed of light in air
25 miles per second = 0.00013420484381 times the speed of light in space

So if the hot rod F7a was a real locomotive, it would hold the record as the fastest man-made object ever made.
