What does the Trainz Community listen to?

I usually listen to the real train sound effects on the RR which runs @ 500' away (from my igloo on the Antarctican RR). http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc339/cascaderailroad/2-6-6-6-6Winter.jpg

I should wear earphone noise protection headphones (as the little lady watchs all kinds of horridly violent TV shows in the background, and she regulary screams outloud in terror every minute or so) ... startling me out of my wits, making me jump in my chair ... so much for my safe & sane train simulator solitude.

Kind of depends .... sometimes (usually) it's progressive rock ... Rush, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree or maybe some Pink Floyd ... other times something more bluesy like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, ZZ Top or Stevie Ray Vaughan ... and sometimes just some more classic rock like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Boston, Guns 'N Roses or more general, somewhat newer rock from Nickelback, Creed/Alter Bridge, Evanescence, Disturbed, Chickenfoot, Black Country Society .... and if I really want to turn it up a notch .... I'll put on some DragonForce.

<sniped Gorgoroth>
NOTE: children cannot watch unless they like disturbing things

I was at that very festival watching that.. :D Good times!

As you already lowered the tone to a more darkened one.. I suppose I can continue it.. I'm not massive into Black Metal but I enjoy a bit here and there..

So heres a rather unknown band and I happen to feature in the video.. that was a fun night of filming :)

It must of been awesome seeing Gorgoroth live! Gaahl definitely is a stage person. No fear, engages the audience, ect. Also that song by Abgott you just linked is pretty awesome. Nice to see a fellow dark metalhead on a trainz forum haha

Yeah it was before we headed to bed after watching Avantasia, i'm not really a Gorgoroth fan as such but live it was cool with the stage setup.
http://www.last.fm/user/Davie_UCF <-- should sum up my music taste as it's logged it via winamp since 2004 ha. I tend to listen to music while in surveyor, makes time fly!

It's cool to see people with similiar music taste :) A few Porcupine Tree fans too! I'm all over most metal sub genres, progressive rock/metal and post rock.. anything that has feeling!

You definitely have awesome taste in music, that song felt an empowering sadness but it was great. loved that song.
Also if you like some wicked guitar work in songs, try this song out by Nile. It is so epic throughout the whole song.
