I named the town Riley Ridge using my Daughters name. That's the Messabi River the town overlooks. All this in the mythical State of Appalacia.

Thank you Forester, I think that town on the show is Marshal North Carolina. But I only see the town in the opening credits, have not found a photo online of the river and town like the show has yet.

Progress on project Sweet Carolina has been slow but steady. With the other part of the team picking up to his speed, we have been busy little bees so pardon our dust! The route is based off the lines between Spartanburg and Ashville in 1938. For these shots we have Pollock yard outside of Pleasantsville. And a shot of a freight outside Sugarton mills.
