Thanks for the x4200. I could never have fixed it alone.
I have kept the old one to remind me how to fix things.
How about having a go at the X3800?
I took one look at the errors/warnings and fled.
It is no longer available on the DLS.
Does this make it difficult to repair from a moral/legal point of view?
    Thanks
    Stuart.

by deneban on June 14th, 2020 at 11:19 AM

A small update on RMAN development: The Bulk Asset Renaming feature has been remodeled while under development. The user can select a bulk rename either starting with his/her permanent custom name list or using the current names in their asset library. In either case, the final result will be such that both names will be made identical for the same KUID version.

Introducing RMAN (Retain My Asset Names) - a Total Solution for Customized Trainz Asset Naming

Many Trainz users want to organize their assets as they indeed originate from creators of all corners of the world not working to any naming standard per se. When Surveyor tabs are opened, we can be dumbfounded by the variety of asset naming styles thrown at us as route modelers. The most effective way to fix this

Superbly detailed Fostoria Webcam Now Free!!

by deneban on May 15th, 2020 at 05:12 PM

It simply amazing.

Railstream.net has now made their Fostoria real time cams absolutely free!
Just click on the image below and click on the subsequent play symbol.

The cam looks WNW along along the CSX Willard Subdivision across the double diamond with the east-west Norfolk Southern Fostoria Subdivision. About 75 trains per day go past this cam, and in fact, 4 out of 6 of the Class I North American Railroads pass through this cam, specifically equipped with

by deneban on July 10th, 2014 at 08:31 AM

I've blogged about the Fostoria Rail Park, Fostoria current events, Fostoria rail traffic, and other digressions, but what about the actual route building progress?

Because the objective is to make a realistic modern-day representation of Fostoria in Trainz, consider these techniques being used to create as realistic route as possible ...

maps.google.com offers route builders an opportunity to build dimensionally accurate routes and prototypical scenery...

If you are building a route for which you want to have actual real world trackage, features, and terrain, the following technique can be used to get real work dimensions and reflect them in your route.
