One major limitation is you need to know the exact kuid number including version number to find it. Occasionally I know the basic kuid number well enough

I use Vivaldi, which is based on Chrome, it also disabled ftp by default. But you can enable ftp by typing :- chrome://flags/#enable-ftp in the address
