Good Afternoon Colonists,

It has been a long time, but of course, I am always sneaking my head here and there... basically keeping up with current events. I was ready to come back Feb 27th when TANE would have hit the marketplace, but it since have been pushed back to May, so, to be honest, I do not see myself doing much here until I get the full retailed version, and uploading layouts and contents to see how that goes with the new product! I apologies that it has taken so long, but as we know, lots of things happen along this road track from family to basically burning yourself out! Still, with hundred and hundreds of contents sitting in my files I will certainly have stuff to upload when TANE is release this coming May.

Likewise Ish, I've been lurking a long time too and am now waiting for the Tane rollout. I am also recently retired with a lot more time on my hands. Looking forward to getting back to Mars.

Good Morning Colonists!

With TANE just two months away, I've decided to slowly get my feet wet again... into trainz... into 3dMax... Honestly, I have forgotten how to create and export/impport items into trainz, etc ... should all come back to me as these weeks pass us by!

For now, a few screenshots of new vehicles coming in May, plus the Mega Transportation Units (Thanks to Ben "Dendorsey" for the huge animated wheels and fans)!

Anyhow, I have finished crafting out the layout, and now it's all about adding bases and tracks... in other words, this is where imagination will come into play!

On a side note: Really excited for TANE -- just added memory to this pc for it, so now have 16g, and hopefully it makes a huge different!

Well, as you have may read above, slowly getting back into trainz!

I've updated and uploaded new contents! --- the Tracks had some issues but now are fix! And new pillars located in the track accessories, one of them is a tower, etc ...:hehe:

Here are the instructions on how-to have a rocket (locomotive) climb vertically! The credit for this goes to Butler57!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Work through from A to E

Track height is set to 400m at top end and +10 at ground level to clear the Maglev Station under the Skylift structure.

Invisible signals are placed at each end and invisible speedboards (500km) at the lower end.

You can set your own Track Markers at each end if you want to operate in AI mode.

Or go straight to 'F' for the finished Skylift

Note:
Maglev's are really not designed to climb a grade of 99/1 so be patient.

As I get my feet wet with trainz again, I'll be creating rockets that can be launch vertically at a later time just by using Butler57's instructions above!

Good Late Afternoon Colonists --

A treat -- who says you can't have rail tracks on Marsz!:hehe:
We have rails, and now the beginning of a dedicated fleet of rolling stocks, as time goes on!

Below is a screenshot of modified rolling stock that I made ages ago -- it loads 5 rock products!
Now, these will not be upload til next week because I have more variations to do with the color and theme, however, if you like for these to load more items just let me know, since I would have to do the product for it!

(Side note: Marsz layout is emerging to be grand and great -- bases with junctions named, signals etc etc are all coming together nicely -- I won't bore with screenshotz til I have truckload to show off at a later time)

I loaded up a 750MB raw route into TANE beta and the program took it in like TS12 does a 350MB route without a hitch. I will continue testing with bigger routes and see how far we can go before the program crashes. This may also be system dependent since I do have 32MB of RAM and TANE being a 64-bit application like TransDEM 64-bit is can make use of all the memory space. This is unlike a 32-bit application which is limited to 4GB allocated by the operating system regardless of the amount of RAM installed.

Good Afternoon John, and Colonists!

For the curious colonists John decided to test out large routes on his own, so I asked if he can also post those results here, since it relates to my Marsz route, and a couple of your "Marsz routes" guys, who are keeping it still under wrap! My Marsz route is 6 boards wide, and this expands vast regions! by comparing what John is doing it will help me to determine how far I can take it, in lames terms, of how large a route can get! --- Thanks John, and looking forward to more results, sir!
