Had an issue where everything you've downloaded has appeared black or multicolour?

If so, you are not alone - this is common in TS2009 and TS2010 with certain graphics cards - it's known as a texture compression issue.

To fix it, you will need to do two things in Content Manager.

Firstly, you will need to turn off Hardware Compression. See the following image for the location of this setting: (To access this box, click File, then Settings)

The second stage of the process is opening all affected assets for edit, then recommiting them. If it's just downloaded assets, search for Locally Modified=True (Note: This will normallyonly find assets installed from a CDP/CMPA file)

Any assets that are still black or multicoloured after will need to be reinstalled.

Sometimes, it's quicker to simply delete and re-download the affected assets, especially if several assets are affected, and the assets are used in a multiplayer route/session.
