Hey Guys!

Sessions for both the Mojave and Midwest Grain sessions are now posted on the site. These are now back in BETA as we still have some lingering bugs to work out. If you are having any issues with the sessions, please post them here and do not start another thread. We will address all the issues here in this official thread. Updates and revisions will also be made here in this first post, I will sticky this as well so it stays up top!

Thanks!

I already posted another thread regarding my situation but might as well post it here because that's what were supposed to do. The first session listed under the MWG Route is inoperable due to a derailed consist at the very beginning of the session. I emailed JR Support and are currently working to solve the problem.

This is by far the worst and most inept release of PAYWARE content ever. You guys even top Failworks crap.

Did you ever check about the content in a virgin version of Trainz?

I'm so sorry I have to write this. But Harvest Load crashed every time when I'm arriving to a Freedom, almost on the same place. Right here:

http://gallery.trainz.cz/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10095

After spending a hour of driving I had to try to reload saved game several time, every time with the same result, crash of the simulator. I have downloaded all needed packs and dependencies (with JR signals too).

Together with missing links for dependencies (tank cars, ACF hoppers, Trinity hoppers) I don't know what to think it. JR stuff was always great, but this payware sessions is out of any tests probably.

Hey Guys, The sessions are not performing as intended. I'm not 100% sure if it's my TRS that I created them in or what. This was the initial delay in the original release and I thought I had it fixed but apparently not! I am pulling the sessions for now and will re-issue them as soon as I can verify all bugs are worked out. It's weird as they perform perfectly on my machine with TS12 Build 49922.... Anyone care to BETA the new sessions when they are re-released? If so send me an email to beta@jointedrail.com and I'll work with you guys to ensure these are working cross platform.

Thanks and we apologize for the issues!

Due to Jointedrail's previous post it's not necessary now, but it seems problem in Freedom station is not in Harvest Load session only, but in main track as well. I tried to run through there with alone engine and simulator crashed too. It's probably on a place where train is passing red brick building.

For those having problems with it crashing you may want to make sure the signals are all up to date and that you have the signal fx library (http://jointedrail.com/index.php/freeware/signals/signal-fx-library.html) as some other people had the same problem on this route but in a different location. Doing this fixed the problem for them.

Hope this helps,
Brandon

All sessions work. All I did was change kuid2:46162:60006:10 to kuid:46162:60006 in the session config for the Pioneer Local so i had no missing dependences.

Hey Mike or someone over at JR. I think one of the problems you guys may be having with this session is that whoever made the session may not have the latest Gondola packs. I believe you released updates and then had problems with the Aluminium rolling slab because in another thread you noted that you would be updating the Gondola packs to remove that kuid from the list of loads. The sessions have that load as part of their kuid pack. Also, on the first session ( I forget the name offhand but it is where you have to haul the grain cars back to freedom yard) at the first location the pack of grain cars closest to the building needs to be moved north just a bit. For me anyway as the session came to me those cars were derailed when I loaded in. If I went into edit the session and moved them back just a bit behind that spline they worked just fine.

check your open for edit in cmp and see if they weren't committed. I would bet they are there if you downloaded and installed them and they still don't show. Also if they happen to show a red error button use the check for errors tab and that should fix it. There are no errors with the assets but I have noticed sometimes my cmp will say they are in error. Doing a error check fixes that and they are fine and work from then on.

This is a settings of Consist Check rule:
http://gallery.trainz.cz/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10126

I set my consist and go from East Portal after 1 minute:
http://gallery.trainz.cz/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10133

Next was to choice drive and order him go to West Portal:
http://gallery.trainz.cz/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10136

But it doesn't work, train doesn't appear at all. What I'm doing bad??

Checked open for edit stuff, commited everything in there. No red arrows. Same missing assets as listed here are still showing as unknown in CM missing assets column.

Make sure you have trainz build 49922.

Did you get the updated signal pack from Jointed Rail? Some of your missing kuids are searchlights. You need to be logged in to get them. http://jointedrail.com/index.php/freeware/signals.html

Hi Lou!

Sessions have been pulled and are being revamped to figure out the issues. They will be re-released to those that purchased the expansion packs.

Thanks

Did this ever happen? I bought both expansion packs and haven't heard a thing about the sessions.

For Midwest Grain there are some at the below link, for the v1.2 of the route which is also on the page. These are betas as we work out the kinks on the sessions

Note that these sessions REQUIRE the Content Pack so only those who have purchased this should be trying to use these.

Mojave sessions have yet to be re-released at this time.....

I don't know if this is related to the known SP1 sound issues, but in all the MW Grain and Mojave sessions, the sound drops out whenever a locomotive either starts or stops. I have to open the options menu to fix it, which can be a pain in spotting and switching. Also, except for the Mojave to Bakersfield session , the other Mojave sessions seem to be Cab Mode only, no DCC. Is this correct? I'm really not a cab mode guy.

Sound is related to the SP1 problem. As far as the sessions i dont see why they wouldnt be able to be used on both, its just a control method after all. If its the stock session that is broken maybe this is something else messed with SP1 that hasnt been found previously....

If by stock session you mean Mojave to Bakersfield, that is the only one that gives the control option. The other Mojave sessions bring you to cab mode with no option to choose.

ETA: I just started up all the built in sessions and they don't seem to have the sound issue, nor do the Maria's Pass sessions. It seems limited to Mojave and MWG. I don't know if that is of any help.

I would wait till the sound issues are cleared up with the SP1 hotfixes and such as I experience personally sound cutouts on any route, its not limited to just Mojave and MWG. Many others also experience this and with the 2 hotfixes out along with SP1, who knows which one fixed it/broke it/broke it again. I'm sure this sound issue will be addressed by N3V shortly in another hotfix, so until then not much we can do about this. For me at least going in cab and back out makes it work again until it cuts out again.

If its the built in TS12 sessions, there isnt much we can do about the control options.

Ok, I'll start a thread out there in the bug thread on the session control issue and see if Zec has any insight on it. Thanks.

I forgot to ask the obvious which would give some more insight....were these sessions written to have both control methods available? If so then it's definitely broken, if not there is some problem on my end? How do they show for anyone else out there?

I know hes still working on the current revision of it but this route is always a "work in progress" as its had several versions already. Hes just making it bigger and better each time!
