PERSPECTIVES
A picture can show so many things all at one time. Take this modest scene, for example. To the few drivers on Alaskan Way, it's another typical spring day, the northbound drivers wondering if their tires are good enough to beat the train to the Broad Street crossing. Some of them may remember a time when fishing boats would come right up to the downtown area and unload their catches to be sold later at Pike Place - a good few miles from the current activity center at Lake Union. To the tourists of Seattle it's a bit of a damper on their vacation, so they'll spend the rainy day indoors at the Pacific Science Center, the Space Needle, or the Museum of Flight. The office workers look down and see the rain and wind whipping up Puget Sound - if they can see that through the fog that surrounds their office windows. To the train crew, it's three miles to off-duty time and less than an hour until they can finally go to sleep, leaving a freshly rested crew to take these 11,000 tons of coal to Roberts Bank for export. And to the hardy railfan braving the storm, it's an absolute thrill. No camera alive can capture the thunder of two SD70MACs and the shudder-inducing blare of an air horn that's slightly out of tune. In a few minutes the train will be gone and he will be heading two blocks north to the Old Spaghetti Factory (conveniently located trackside) for a big bowl of fettuccine Alfredo. It's a scene that happens many times every day - it's just this particular time that happens to be captured.

And to the Trainz community? It's another entry in the weekly competition to determine whose screenshot is the best, poetry and prose notwithstanding.

Submission closed. The voting is here (http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?94766-Voting-for-Screenshot-of-the-Week-10-15-2012-to-10-22-2012).

@gericat12: Nice shot. Note, however, that it is best to display your screenshot directly in your post rather than just post a link. I have edited your post to show the screenshot directly, and also did so the last time you submitted to Screenshot of the Week, but I did not see where Google+ has a proper feature for inserting your image into a forum post by copying "forum code" from the image hosting site into your post. Therefore, I suggest that in the future you upload your screenshots to an image hosting site like ImageShack.us, HostThenPost.org, Flickr, Photobucket, etc. that has such a feature, thereby enabling you to easily display your screenshots directly in your posts. Thanks. :)

Regards,

Zachary.
