Hi

I have not been able to link to any multiplayer sessions for ages - a couple of months or so. Is the server down or should I hunt for another cause?

If you havn,t been able to join a session for two months there is something wrong your end. if Ichat is working the chances are multiplayer is too and vice versa. A more certain way is to try and start your own session. That will definately tell you whether it is working or not. You should read some of the multiplayer threads. They are full of useful information. Here are a couple of the more obvious reasons you can,t join Multiplayer. You have the incorrect build number or you have not downloaded the right sessions. there is a third reason which opens a whole can of worms! And that is the well documented difficulties of joining or hosting a multiplayer session. Do you have a regional version of TS12 or did you buy it direct from N3V Games? In either case it should be patched up to 49922. For futher guidance read the sticky in the General Forums. Have you downloaded any sessions or are you relying on the built in one? For instance Montana Rail link which is a mega long route with a number of interactive Industries and 4 large yards. My session is 2.9d and jIbs is 2.9 There are some other good ones on the DLS such as UMR SUMMER and Danny 5 has a nice multiplayer session to name but two.

Hi colourlight,

Ichat is working

I can start my own sessions

I have TS12 direct from N3V Games, version 49922

I will try the sessions you mention. I downloaded all from DLS just recently.

I'll try Montana 2.9d and UMR summer and read all the forum links - see if I can find a session running - maybe the timing is a bit different from USA so that could make a difference - I think we are abouy 7+ hours ahead.

As far as I know, Great Britain is only 1 hour behind and Colourlight runs a few of these sessions a month.
Some of them try to keep the sessions running 24h/day.

... or you could always try to host one yourself. Patience is key though; sometimes people join in a few minutes, sometimes in a few hours, sometimes not at all. Others need to have the same route to see your session.

Thanks oknotsen!

You are probably correct. Are there any other multiplayer routes that have sessions more often, do you know?
