View Full Version : Mission Impossible : Fixing Content

My Trainz has taken yet another hit. Over the years and years of moving the database, and installing content, a lot of content has stopped working. This thread will be where I post updates as to what I'm fixing and what's fixed. So far, just by going through the stuff you can drive, I have 35 things to fix... I haven't even gotten out of the "A"s.

I found out I had installed the new JR dependencies, after deleting the new ones, the old ones (that work for TRS2006) took their place. My mission continues (:hehe:). A lot of it is content installed meant for TS2010, TS2009. I install anything. Now is the time to make it work.

I'll add pictures.

I'm not sure what the mission is...why document this? We all have to fix content. Unless you discover something unusual, it would probably be better to document, say, one or two types of fixes, e.g. a missing texture, a misspelled config.txt error, or a PM to IM conversion upgrade. There's already a great resource for fixing content in the TS2010 forum.

That said, have you tried the procedure Zec posted in the TS2010 forum for assets incorrectly marked as faulty? Although the issue seems the worst on TS2010, it seems to affect TS12, so it seems possible it might affect TS2009 as well.

If you're simply trying to backdate 09/10/12 content to work in TRS2006, you probably don't need to document much, if anything.
