I installed bridge spline <kuid2:171456:39003:1> listed as Bridge 2L GB 02
on TS12.
Issue: the bridge "flickers" , both in surveyor and in driver.
What I like is the fact the bridge casts a shadow, and has supports.
1) How can I resolve the flicker?
2)Any recommendations for bridges that cast shadows?
Thanks!

A flicker is usually caused by the original mesh having planes which are too close together and confusing the graphics card. If this is the case with the bridge you mention, then it is 'inbuilt' and there is nothing the user can do about it.

This is a problem even with some 'built-in' assets in Trainz and asset creators should make every effort to prevent this happening. Which is where I hold up my hands as it has happened with some of mine - despite what I thought was rigorous checking!

Often a horizontal plane at ground level flickers, and this can be cured by raising it the smallest possible amount - 0.05 metre.

This is due to the shadow mesh in TS12.

Does the same apply in 2010?

don't know if it applies is TS10 - never used TS10.

I did see this when I used TS09, and assumed it was my graphics card.

I am beginning to think it is just the construction of the item and the mesh table.

I agree - this is what I was suggesting. I have made that mistake but corrected it after testing carefully in Surveyor - sometimes the problem is apparent only when you get close to the object.
