OK (0 Errors, 0 Warnings)

Patching completed.

But the assets that "do not match" account for about 10000 lines that I cut out of the post...

Is this actually an 'OK' patch as indicated?

Thanks

The only item that may be a possible cause for concern is the one relating to the render kernel.

The 'asset does not match database record' messages are simply information only - no user action is required.

Yes, just ignore all those messages they refer to what is being updated or fixed / moved to the correct place in the database. The general consensus is we are not supposed to see those messages, its an internal thing. the last line is the important one.
So long as everything appears as normal in Content manager you don't need to worry about it.

Tip. If you do a database repair before patching, you can avoid most of those messages anyway.

Does the game now say that it is fully patched?

It says 44088 in the corner... so I assume fully patched.

I think the render error was because I ran the Patch via Remote Desktop. I do that alot with most games as it saves time :)

Shane

I imagine that the render kernel message is relating to the fact that the patcher starts taddaemon/trainzutil in background mode with no attached trainz or CM session to have a rendering context available.

And thus is almost certainly harmless, and I imagine everyone gets it.

As an alternative method was used which is not an uncommon feature in many applications, often hardware related and it obviously worked, it's safe to ignore.

The items being removed would be either updates to or replacements or even removal of duplicates as in old versions that have been replaced?
Whatever it is, I have seen this before, its not a problem and nothing vanished.

As I see it the database repair is like a registry or disk defrag and is merely reorganising things for more efficient operation.

Anything that is not fixed will show up in the errors and warnings and as the end line says zero errors and warnings, that is all anyone really needs to know.

Thanks for all the help. I played the 3rd Tutorial lastnight and it seemed okay. It didn't crash at all, just a few user errors with the train controls (I'm learning how to not speed too fast)

The only confusing thing was now I have a new button "Content Update" with a number 83 in it (on main menu)... but is there a way to update them all without having to install 83 manual updates?
