Hello to all:

Just a thought about the possibly that Microsoft Windows XP SP3 might be causing some of the problems that we are having with TS2010 in regards to Assets not being loaded, as they should be, due to having descriptions etc.

I have learned that SP3 has some glitches in it that might cause non Microsoft programs to not function right.

Any feedback on this subject!

Have a good day.

Richard

Well, my system did seem to run much better before "upgrading" to SP3, which I only did so I could apply SP2 to TS2010. Though I haven't had the asset issues you describe, I have had Trainz performance issues.

Xp Sp3 does nothing that doesn't enhance general security and performance, updates some libs and so on. If that is indeed the case, then Trainz is to blame. Anyway, just because it says "some non microsoft programs" doesn't mean that it's the culprit. Before I moved to windows7 though, nothing seemed to work properly until I upgraded to Sp3. So this is strange.
