When I asked about 16 months ago no one knew of a loco with a working Mars Light (sweeping headlight) but I thought by now someone might have made one. My searches of DLS have not found one there. Does anyone know of one?

I have landrvr1's CB&Q Pioneer Zephyr - 9900 (Mars Light),<kuid:45651:9> which has the Mars light above the headlight but unfortunately it doesn't oscillate. If you find one I'll take a copy:D

There's an EMD GP38-2 on the VMD website - have a look here - http://www.virtual-motive-division.com/html/us_loco.html a Burlington Northern green low hood loco with a mars light on it, I played with it years ago, and I'm sure there's a SP GP38-2 on the DLS which states it has a Mars light on it as well....Cannot remember any others though....

The SP one on DLS is by Threeheadedmonkey.
I know joram was working on Mars lights for Southern Pacific, register at the RRMods forum to ask him, he only comes here for announcements usually.

Found the SP and BN versions, but none of them oscillate. Will try to contact joram. Sure wish I knew for sure if City of New Orleans version oscillates.

If by occilate you mean light goes in circles
yes the City of NO does
to get it to work in native mode for 2009 takes a minor edit to correct a small error in the config file

Jointed Rail.com www.JointedRail.com (http://www.JointedRail.com) has a Great Northern F7&ATSF F7 with working Mars Lights, use the 1 key to activate. They are free, Jointed Rail also has Payware locomotives with Flashing ditch light.
Cheers.
