View Full Version : Starting a magazine

I suggest you get Auran's permission before using the Trainz logo. Good luck with the magazine thing, though.

You may want to consider creating a magazine style CMS site using Joomla, Drupal or other CMS with a template resembling a magazine layout (Google is your friend). You can restrict registration as you wish, contributors can add content freely and you or some small designated group can decide what actually gets published. Seems like a lot less work than laying out pages all the time. The other bene is that you aren't going up against the much better established Virtual Railroader which is more of a traditional magazine

I wish you luck.
The magazine was called "Trainz Magazine."

In theory it was a great idea, however support and time just was not enough to keep it running. It is hard than you think...

I just wanted to bring this old thread back. For the people that thought Trainz Magazine would never work, I have a total of 177 subscribers including the email group and TM members. I get 2 new subscribers every day.
