Hello everyone. It's Friday! It's time for Crackerjack!...errr I mean more pics from Padstershire...
The Padstershire Railway is now a partially-preserved line: unfortunately,
the line south of Castleport was not taken on because of the difficulty in
maintaining the considerable amount of heavy engineering it has. Consequently, the mountain section is now under threat.
However, there could be light at the end of the tunnel. If you read the April and May editions of OnTrack last year, you might have noticed the story about Padster Rails attempt to close the Benny Boy Dog Food factory in order to build a sawmill on the site, from which timber would be conveyed by rail to Castleport. Padster Rail failed in their bid, but in a few days there will be another vote in the County Council on the same subject. If Padster Rail wins, the sawmill will keep open the line.
However, it is a tough vote, and in order to win it Padster has to get 40 kills in one map of Medal of Honour Allied Assault. He has three attempts to do this. Seeing as Padster normally amasses 40 deaths in one game, this is very unlikely!
Here are some pics of the threatened mountain section:

The mighty Corey Beck Viaduct, the tallest and longest bridge on the line:

And from another angle:

Aliceborough station on the high moors. Now in a sad, delapidated state:

Aliceborough Viaduct:

The viaducts become smaller as the line drops down towards Danswood:

Into the forest as journey's end approaches:

More next week.
Best wishes,

Thanks Captain, I am honoured. The viaducts are all down to those talented people at the Painted Grace Workshop.

Why are you leaving RJL?

Best wishes,
Padster
