I've made a route over a few years of Tasmania however it's not to scale and I've recently discovered transdem and I would like to use this to create a Tasmanian route if that's possible?

Now I don't know a lot about it but would anyone be willing to help me start out and gain a better understanding of it please.

I think it would be a good way to create a accurate route.

Thanks Bradley

If it's not possible it's fine, I'm happy either way.

Sure it is. TransDEM will generate a route for almost anywhere in the world. It's always down to suitable geo data. For Tasmania, it doesn't look too bad:

It is quite possible.

You would need to download images and data from the Earth Explorer or some other data source.
