Looks like a possible encoding issue to me. Is that with CDP files or another type?

It's with CDP files, hence the ACS header. Depending on the site, you can either right-click and select Save Link As or click the link and just do File->Save As to save the file directly from your browser. Be sure All Files is selected under File Type. The former works if you can mouse over the link and it shows the actual CDP file itself i.e. it's a direct link.

It's a Firefox and Chrome thing. They "think" that anything that isn't a recognizable file-type is an html page and will automatically try to open it instead of asking what you want to do with it. You can go into your preferences (settings), where that's located, and tell the program to save .cdp files instead of trying to open them in the browser.
