View Full Version : How LOD with lm.txt works

I know how it works in TS12 but in TANE it is not happing at the same place. I did a test with the same loco and same test map. I can see when the last LOD happens and in TANE it is about 4x sooner than in TS12, 0.5" in TS12, over 2" in TANE. This is BUG-02703. Is this going to be fixed or do we need to change all are name.lm.txt files?

It's not something that I've looked at, but assuming that it differs from TS12 when both games have their detail settings maxed out, then you can probably assume that it's a bug.

Looking at the problem here, I agree that the lod is changing a lot sooner than in TS12, it doesn't seem to make any difference if the settings are on high or not. If you look at the image below taken in TANE all settings on high, the three carriages on the right have lost their underside bits, this is not obvious in TS12. Not my assets but gives a good indication of the problem.
