(This is a follow up to my "attributing textures" thread.) So instead of modifying and attributing textures, how to I just ADD textures to a part of a mesh? I really would like to know and help would be wonderful. Thanks

As an end-user of the completed model, you can only reskin the model because any other changes take place at the mesh level, which only the original creator has access to. If you could edit the model mesh, you would have to remake the UVW map which determines how the texture is placed on the mesh. There are also other considerations such as normal maps and other alpha-channel textures which are sometime created when the model is made.
