Good morning friends; Happy Canada Day, eh! This is what good old Dartmouth Cove looked like in the 1950s. Well, something like that. I don't think I'll make it back to this area for about a year. I really don't have any finished areas to show you yet. I'm going to build the route to the end of the line and then decide what to use for grass and wildflowers/weeds, rocks, people, dogs, all that sort of stuff. It won't be long before this area is condos for the rich. In real life, just to the right, rich folks are already living in condos where the Dartmouth shipyard used to be. Dang, I hate what they are doing to my old home town!

Cheers .... Rick....now I must vote on lats weeks shots, not an easy task!http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a616/rickf77/rickf77_20140701_0000.jpg~original

Since you guys are so caught up with trying any way possible to get edited screenshots banned. Here is slightly smaller. But no, it's still edited.

Been driving the local to Belen since 5:30 AM, so the sight of Belen Yard was a HUGE relief.

This is Dalmunzie in the Scottish Highlands [1] and a slow, but scenic, procession is just starting up into the mountains. This tiny train is being led by leading a pack horse carrying the picnic hampers (just visible climbing steadily away in the distance).

If you think this sounds like a wild fantasy, think again! There's footage of it all happening in the late 1960's at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK4i_-1_ZbA

starting at 8m35s and then again at 30m00s.

The screenshot was taken on the newly rebuilt "Dalmunzie - Glenlochsie" route <KUID:283805:100151> & session ("Dalmunzie - Glenlochsie 1978" <KUID:283805:100152>). The route was reworked by tmz06003 from Vern's Dalmunzie route (with permission). Enjoy!

Peter.

[1] Dalmunzie is in Perthshire and is (now) 72 miles, by road, from where my mother was born and grew up in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
