Yarnish 4 Lane Question

Can someone please tell me how to get traffic to use ALL 4 lanes of the yarnish system? I have a highway laid, and everyone is driving in the left lane. This is so frustrating. I have searched for answers, but no luck.

I can't answer the question directly because I couldn't find the answer either 2 years ago. Driving in left lane is obvious based on the origin of the game, but it would have been nice to make it depend on the country chosen for the route.

I have Roy's CPR Route and used this left lane driving AI traffic to create a 200 mile driveable highway system. Create a 4 lane Yarnish Bridge Highway with 2 invisisble tracks in right hand lanes. Put in highway portals and Voila! You have a bus/tourist driveable highway which provides totally different views in a large route. Create a few bus stations and tourist traps/scenic parking, add an airport and you can enjoy your AI train session in a whole new way.

Lemons into lemonade.

Thanks Glenn,

So I set up a merge lane off a Yarnish 4 lane bridge and add invisible lane to merge traffic into the right lane. Do I have to carry that invisible lane throughout the highway system in the right lane and leave the left lane to the AI traffic?

Initially I did what you are doing - placed an iinvisible lane on top of the right lane(s) of the 4 lane road. That works, but it is very difficult to get the heights to match in hilly areas. The driveable vehicles keep flying or sinking into the road. In the end I created my own version of the Yarnish road and turned it into a "bridge" with 2 invisible tracks spaced to be in the right lanes and used this to replace all the "normal" 4 lane roads. I also created a 2 lane road and "real" 2 and 4 lane bridges similarly.

The 2 lane roads are amusing to watch the normal AI road traffic interacting with my AI driveable traffic. Not exactly like Euro Truck Simulator.

I had this in my notes on creating 4 lane highways. I don't remember where I got it, but I saved it so it may work:

In Config, add:

isroad 1
isfreeway 1
numlanes 2

Or try attaching this:

C+ RN TG04 1 Way 2 Lane Traffic Generator Carrate 4,<kuid2:243828:1861:1>

to the end of any 2 lane road spline.

Is this in the config file of the Yarnish asset?

If you just want standard Trainz car traffic check out Kind Track in Wiki:

As Dave Snow mentioned above, play with isfreeway and numlanes in the config file of a clone of whichever Yarnish asset you like.

If you add istrack 1, it adds a single invisible track down the middle of the road. That is why I changed to Kind Bridge. It allows multiple tracks which can be spaced as you wish.
