If you want to see some really weird locos in any gauge, take a peek at a copy of "Articulated Locomotives" by Lionel Wiener. It was originally printed in 1930 but Kalmbach (MR Mag) re-published it in 1970. Some give new meaning to the concept of weird.

What in the? that does look strange, that is not your typical NG steam locomotive although some people may like it!

yes, it does have a funny design to it, i had the same reaction when i first found that pic.

I think it's rather cute actually. It reminds me of some of the locos the Freudenstein company once made. Odd little things they were.

There was a couple of earlier threads here that had all manner of bizarre locos posted in it that makes that little steamer look really mundane:

Granted, a lot of the locos shown aren't narrow gauge, but they're still relevant for this discussion.
