World's Fastest Commercial Train Service Opened

I saw this article and thought it might be of interest:
The Wuhan-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, the world's fastest commercial train service, is opened in the People's Republic of China.

I couldn't get the link to work John. But this is also the first time I've been able to access the forum since Christmas due to problems with my Internet connection. Maybe it's still playing up.

Fair enough they are fast, but I do notice they do not give the speed for the 'stopping' trains, just the express,

"Two of the 21 trains are nonstop, covering the 922-km long journey in a scheduled 02h57m (Southbound) or 02h58m (Northbound). This is an average speed of 313 kilometres per hour (194 mph) between stations."

And as the expresses are only 2 out of 21 the average speed of the 'stopping all station' trains is a more realistic value to know

I just checked it again and it works ok for me. Strange problem, sorry I don't know the solution. FWIW the URL is

Sorry John, you beat me to it. I'm still having problems accessing the forums - no cursor in posts, can't delete mistakes etc.

The web page actually opened under the forum page and I found it when I closed down the forum window in frustration.
