World of Trainz magical disappearing bogeys!

First of all, I am using TRS 2006 and I have searched all over this forums for vanishing bogeys and no one seems to know why World of Trainz locomotives bogeys seems to be disapearing. Basically when I set any of Phil's units on the track and the minute I push the throttles forward, the bogeys vanish and the engine will not move and I also noticed that stuff around the unit such as the ladders disappear as well. Does anybody know what in the World is going on with World of Trainz locomotives? I also heard here that Phil isn't around to support the locomotives on his site. If that is true, I will not be getting the NS and CSX ES44ACs I need for my coal trains....

I was driving them last week. A lot of the CSX units I got from WOT I have been driving them for almost 2 years.

Is World of Trainz closed? Well, not closed, but selling us supportless locomotives? I emailed them about the issue above and no answer.... WOT is the first payware site that I have tried and I was leaning towards Jointed Rail, but I don't know man...

No. World of Trainz is not closed. I have not received an email from you though. What email address did you use?

I don't know what could be causing the trucks to disappear like that. As you are using TRS2006 they should work fine as that is what they were built for. Have you changed display drivers recently? Or perhaps changed from OpenGL to directX or versa visa?

Regards

Phil

Thanks for the response Phil and I love your content thanks for making them.
I did switched from Open GL back to Direct X, but I think all your locomotives were still working at that point. I also noticed that when the trucks disappear, as soon as the map loads and the locomotives appears in position, you can hear them all immediately shut down and the vents, ladders, there is no engine sound, the unit will not move and the throttles will stick in position and nothing happens and when you couple another locomotive from another creator to yours, that one become affected with all the above symptoms!

Really weird right? I have been using all the CSX engines I bought since 2008 and I have a lot of other creators content on the map ( Jointed Rail, Sporbust, Auran WOT and USLW) and your engines are the only ones that do all the things I mentioned above.

Hi Xero did you make sure that Phil_C locos have sand and fuel in them with out those in them they won't move.

Hope this helps you.

Kind regards,

Sdpnz.

I really don't understand what having fuel and sand in them will have to do with the bogeys vanishing! I was playing yesterday and I noticed that right before the map loads with the tainted engines in it, an error message will display on the screen, only pointing to the NS ES44AC on the map. All the locomotives that I have purchased from WOT are effected by this, the built-in WOT locomotives (the 3 SD70s) are not effect by whatever the bug is. I will post a screenshot of the error message and perhaps, maybe Phil or someone else can translate what it means in English terms...

Hello xero
I certainly haven't forgotten you but I was not real sure what I could do to help. I have not seen this issue before with any of my customers. However now that you are saying there is an error message showing then showing me the message will help out. Also if you could send some screenshots of the issue to my email address I would appreciate it as well. Also if you could run a session with the problem and the error message and then send the Jetlog.txt file to me as well.

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil. I have been gone for a couple of weeks and was unable to post the Jetlog and screenshot from the error I was having with the disappearing bogeys on your locomotives. Okay here is the screenshot of the error message that pops up on my screen the minute the route starts.

For some reason, when I try to private message you, I can't attach anything and I try to copy and paste the Jetlog into the message, but its too long. Is there another way the reach you?

Thanks,

Xero

Hello Xero
Can you check in CMP to see if any assets have any errors or are missing? That error relates to the sound files in the engine sound.

Regards

Phil

Thanks a lot Phil. I reinstalled the engines with a different engine sound and it works fine, but I put the same engine sound back again and it still works fine. Also I get that same error message and again all the engines work fine! Am I crazy?

I have met this issue some time ago on one polish map, and it seemed to have nothing to do with the locos itself. All bogeys of all locos, which previously worked just fine, disappeared after starting route in play mode and locos become nonfunctional. So far I didn't find why.
