I see that 2010 trainz need a 32 bit machine. I have a 32 bit machine. Will 2009 run on a 32 bit machine?

Yes - it will run on 32 or 64 bit machines. You are more likely to need to look at processor speed, graphics card and memory...

Thanks. I have all the other requirements needed. I had a 2010 that would lock up in Surveyor in Vista for some reason so I up graded it to Windows7. After that it would not let me get past "start". All the help I got from Auran did not help. As a matter of fact they did not answer my last email on the subject. Also that 2010 came form Amazon.com, sent it back and got all but $10 back.

Good start, sending back the amazon purchase. Purchase direct from Auran if possible.

2010:EE works fine on my 6 year old machine. 2.4Ghz Processor, 4 Gig Ram, and a decent Vid card, Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT with 2 Gig Vid Ram and XP as the OP Sys.

I believe you'll find that as long as you maintain your hard disk and keep it defragmented as well as maintaining the integrity of the Trainz database you'll experience few technical problems.

TRAINZ 2009 will run very well on a 32 bit system. However, if you are running WIN 7 (32 bit or 64bit), do not install TRAINZ (any version) in the default (Program) directory to avoid "administrator" issues. The Root directory of Drive "C' is fine.

Unfortunately, I have a small disagreement there - it's not related to where it's installed though.

Any program that requires registry access (including Trainz) have to be run as admin in Windows Vista/7, due to security permissions (it may be fixable via the Registry Editor, but I haven't tested it, so I would advise extreme caution for anyone trying that)

Query over spec for PC

I have just got Trainz 2009 for Christmas but the graphics seen to be slow, might just be me though.:(

Here is the spec of my PC which is 5 years old.

Motherboard ASUSTek Computer INC. M2NPV-VM 1
Processor-
2.00 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
2 GB memory
Graphics card
NVIDIA GeForce 6150
OS Win XP

Is the problem the onboard graphics card, if so any cheap alternatives?
