Why so many routes/sessions???

Why would I have 57 different versions of the same route and 38 sessions of the same route? I downloaded the Reading & Northern about 10 months ago, and have made a lot of changes to it. Each time I "Save as" the existing Route and Session that I have designated READING & NORTHERN II. I just imported it into my 2nd version of TS12 Patched to Build 61388 and, lo and behold, there are all of those routes/sessions ! Is the sim supposed to OVERWRITE when it says it is OVERWRITING ? Should I delete all but the highest numbered kuid in CM ?

If anyone could shed some light as to how "Save" and "Save As" is supposed to work, I would appreciated it.

Thanks.

Save As automatically creates a new KUID for both the route and session. If that's happening when you use Save, then it's likely that the original route/session is not under your KUID.

In terms of what to remove, check the modified dates and keep the most recent.

All of the routes that I have designated READING & NORTHERN "II", show under my user number. How do I find the date modified ?

Use the scroll bars at the bottom of the Content manager Window to move it sideways, then you will see the date columns, Installed and Modified.

Sometimes my viewing area is such that I can't see all the columns.....like a spreadsheet. I adjust it so I can. If you see your date in edit then it's a moot point...

I only had 5 columns by default. I went up to "View" and guess what...there are all sorts of other columns to be added. How is one supposed to know that? Unfortunately, the modified dates all reflect the date installed. :(
Would not the kuid number, which I assume is assigned in a numerically increasing fashion, designate the latest one ?

Have a look for Date Created. If a new KUID was created, this should tell you when it was created.

EDIT: It may be called Date Installed.

I don't see Date Created. Only Installation and Modification. I am going to open my TS12 Build 49922, where all of the work was actually done, and look at those dates.

I got the kuid number of the latest route, which actually happens to be the only route for the Reading & Northern "II". I'm going to delete the others to clear things up.
