Why can I only hear my own hornsounds IN the Cab?!

Title says it all, people.

Even after cloning a proper whistle asset and changing out the WAV/MP3 files with ones of my own, I'm only able to hear the whistle in the cab of the locomotive, even though it loops properly and everything, but not outside of the locomotive ever.

Yes, my sound drivers are up to date, but seriously;

WHAT IS GOING ON!

The sounds must be MONO. Not stereo. That is why you can't hear them out of the cab. Change your sounds to Mono.

Audacity. It's a free sound manipulation program.

Load your sounds into this program, split the stereo tracks, delete one, then change it to Mono.
