Why aren't assets transferring into the new surveyor program

I got the new surveyor, but none of the assets from the old one are showing up in it. If I design a route in the old surveyor and then switch to the new one to fine tune it, items disappear. When I try to load items into the new system, it takes a bazillion years for anything to download.
How can i get the hundreds of assets to work in the new surveyor?

One question that is not clear from your post.

When you say "got the new surveyor" are you referring to an upgrade to TRS22 Platinum Edition or Trainz Plus, which both have the new Surveyor 2.0 interface, from an older versions such as TRS19 which does not have the new Surveyor 2.0 interface? By "Old Surveyor" do you mean the older version of Trainz that you previously used?

If this is the case then all your older assets are installed in the old version that are not in the new one will to be transferred across. How you do this will depend on which new version and which old version you have. TRS22 Platinum and Trainz Plus already contain most of the assets that were built into TRS19. Those assets that you downloaded and installed from the DLC (payware) into TRS19 will have to be downloaded and installed into TRS22PE/Trainz+ from the Content Store. You will not have to pay for these again.

Any assets that you installed from the DLS into TRS19 will also have to be downloaded. What does the TRS22PE/Trainz+ content manager tell you about the route that you are having problems with? Does it have the route status as "Missing Dependencies"? Then select the route in CM, open its drop down menu (right mouse click) and select List dependencies. Highlight each asset listed as "Available for download", open their collective drop down menu and select Download.
