where has all the DLS content gone; prior to 2 feb 2009??

The title says it all.
Any comments most welcome. :'(
For ANY TRS2004 content, prior to 2nd Feb 2009 there is none listed.
If you select TRS2004 & earlier versions, then do a search with a blank title box,
the last page's earliest entry is dated 2nd Feb 2009.
What has happened to the bulk of our gold?.

With the blank option, TRS04 & below, I got over 11,000 items, but you are right about the last page. Not really sure, but I'd say it's doing one of the "forum bugs", where the posts can be out of date order(1), but in the case the items are out of date order.

But when I choose NSWGR for example, it has all the entries.

1. I had to include "out of date order", as some may think I meant "out of order" instead of "out of order."

PS: It's about time Auran sold the Download Helpess station & it's Download Helpless for a better working down/uploading station - what am I saying, no one would buy it! (What, no one laughing?)

Yes I too found that I could dig down deeper, by searching for something I knew was pre-2009.

Your comments concern 'out of order' etc I find not at all 'out of order' :hehe:

Having the luxury of 'being behind the times' (ie I'm still in TRS2004), I find that the program "Download Helper Pro" assists greatly.

Not only does it reduce my stress levels, frequency of wiping the monitor screen, & stability of quivering fingers, lessens the volume of ground-teeth-chippings etc, it also manages to download several things at once, including all necessary dependencies, without me having to spoon feed it.
How's that for a loooooong sentence!? :hehe:

And just to show that i'm not too far behind the times, it makes backups of all downloaded cdps, & commits them too!
(Maybe that's what I need; committing)

Maybe the DLS server is being worked on while they fix the upload approvals bug (he said in a hopeful voice).

So ironic that the company is now called Neverfail...

Are you trying to find from CMP or using the internet search page.

I have found that CMP in 09 will not pick up a lot of content that using the Internet DLS version you can find.

Also remember that CMP is case sentive were the internet DLS front page is not. This causes a lot of problem - If you search from CMP, try it our by using "Davido" and then "davido" you get two diffrent results

Hi Dinorius,

Using the 'old' DLS, with TRS2004 & earlier versions selected, do a search with an empty title box ('all' types selected). The last search page this morning showed the last item's date was 2nd Feb 2009.
That's about one third of the total two weeks ago.

But if I do a specific search for something earlier, it finds it.
So I guess the search results for an empty title box has been throttled back. :'(

Hey, you're right. 2 Feb 2009. Did you notice the oldest object was uploaded by Peter Hicks? Wasn't he the Australian guy who did time in Guantanamo Bay? I smell conspiracy....
