Where do I get my DLC from?

I purchased the game and most of the DLC for me and my Dad. But holy cow is this game's interface a nightmare. I can't find anywhere to download the DLC (purchased it direct from N3V/Auran), and can't find it anywhere in the mess that is Content Manager.

For example, I got Blue Comet and can't find it. Furthermore, why are there almost no layouts? Are we expected to build everything on our own? It semed like 2006 edition had a lot more (the last time we played the the Trainz brand)?

If you haven't already done so, UNTICK the 'favourites' option.

You download it from either the link in the email you should have had, check spam folder or the link in your order history. Profile > Order History > click on the order, link and serial number are at the bottom of the page.

You need to add serial numbers for any DLC's in Launcher Options so they show under your Trainz Registration key otherwise they won't show in game.

Blue comet should be in the Trains tab in Surveyor assuming you have added the registration.

They didn't include much of the old not really compatible stuff with TS12 however anything from TC3 upwards should work without too many problems, older stuff may or may not have errors which you can fix yourself or wait for the ongoing DLS repair program to sort them out.

Ahhh thanks. It wasn't in the e-mail but at the bottom of a very long list of download link on the data sheet of user information.

So I've now installed all the content from the manual download links, and none if it is showing up in my game though I've entered the serial number both on the website and in the game itself (during installation). I allowed the game to patch up the content thingie, and then went to find the Blue Comet nor the Duchess in the station-yard.

Thank you very much to all that offer some guidance. My Dad and I both appreciate it.

You've not made it very clear what you have done exactly. Duchess and Comet have to be installed by double-clicking the downloaded files. (In fact, to be safe, all Trainz files should be installed when disconnected from the Internet and with your anti-virus and firewall turned off. And rather than double-clicking, right-click on the file and "Run as Administrator", especially if you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7)
Once you've installed them to the correct location (ie your TS12 location) and entered the serial number in Options, then you should find them in TS12. Search in Content Manager - just type Duchess in the Search box on the left. If they are there then they are in the game. You should find them in the Railyard and Surveyor. If you can't see them in Surveyor do as Blackwatch says and delete the filter marked "Rating 5 Stars" in the Content Search Filter at the top left of Surveyor. Likewise in Railyard ensure you aren't just looking at 'Favourites'

Thank you for the in-depth post. I had already de-selected Favorites, and yes I have manually installed the files and the SN#s show up both in the game launcher and on the Auran website.

I will do the search as you specified and hope they show up. I'd just been scrolling through the massive list of engines, cars, and cabooses in the railyard so maybe it doens't list as I would expect Will report back with results.

The names are not always what you think they are, there is a post on here somewhere that says what they are called, meanwhile try using the search in Surveyor and use the today option or whatever date you installed them on, that may pick them up.

Blue Comet is CNJ G3's Blue & CNJ G3's Black Plus CNJ P47 also see the CNJ Blue Comet heavy & CNJ Blue Comet light in the consist section.
Duchess is LMS Duchess red post war & BR Duchess green also see LMS Duchess heavy & Duchess light plus BR Duchess heavy & light in the consist section.
Can be very confusing I know. I had trouble finding them when I bought them.
