What's with the DLS?

Could there be trouble in DLS land? Been trying to get in contact with the DLS and if I do it says website not responding or if I even get further and the DLS seems to be working,when I start to DL something through the DLH all it says is retrying. Does this about 6 times and says completed all tasks. So in other words it seems there's trouble in DLS land. Anyone having the same problem? Thanks.....Frustrated

Since your last visit was in November, you probably haven't seen the threads relating to the on-going DLS crisis. Please read them for information.
 
Wow! If it weren't for the enjoyment of reading these hundreds of threads, and posts, and suggestions to "try a search" before asking about the DLS, there wouldn't be much to do around here, ain't?? ;)

I have indeed seen and read the posts regarding the DLS problems. Just last week I DL some content with no problem. Just wondering what has happend since my last successful DLS visit? Have you ever
wondered why it takes so little for some people to get there tail's in a knot about something? Maybe we should send them to their rooms to play till they chill out. The problem I am experiencing is with the DOWNLOAD CART. I am at TRS2004 at 2365, and I get the message COMPLETED TASKS, which should indicate that the download(s) were successfully completed. But when I go to check on the supposedly successful download(s), they are nowhere to be found in SURVEYOR. I hope that other folks are in fact checking to see if their downloads are in fact there. The "Completed All Tasks" message is being erroneously issued. I am suggesting that all items being downloaded be written down, and then double-checked to see if they are really truly in your SURVEYOR.....

I may be doing something wrong, and the problem is at my end, but this is a re-occuring problem, getting a false "completed all tasks" conditioin, when in fact, nothing has been downloaded successfully.....:'( :'( :'(

The only discrepency I have experienced is that some route update results are something like "75 of 0 dependencies have been installed", which means what?
 
Oh,....is there something wrong with the DLS? I hadn't noticed.

According to the announcement forum, they've been working on it all weekend and hope to have it fixed soon(tm). Sometimes they get it to work, sometimes it crashes again. If you're lucky and persistent you can catch it on an up cycle.
I use the download link on the cart to download one asset at a time. That way it doesn't keep retrying one item, fail to download, then announce the download has failed, everything must already be on my computer, so let's wipe the cart clean! Then I have to go back and find everything again.:confused:
I'm patient. I have time. I'm protecting the contents of my cart, so it's all good. They'll have it fixed and stable in another day or two.
