The chances are that if you are having sound problems with 2010 you will also have them with TS12 - on the basis that your sound card may be faulty in some way or, perhaps, not seated properly (assuming its not on the mainboard).

TS12 is best described as a 'break with the past' - all legacy built-in layouts and routes and many legacy assets are gone (although you can download them or transfer them from an earlier version of you wish).

The interface is familiar albeit with a number of changes that take some getting used to although they are an improvement.

Shadows are still rubbish and the new doppler sound is not perfect but it is an improvement. I like TS12 very much.

When I first got TS12 I was really disappointed. The built-in routes are in my opinion not optimized for what TS12 can do. I redid my Ozark Air Line with a different DEM reference and put it in TS12. I was amazed.

The distance limiter in the built-in routes seems to be gone. You can see forever. The little thing in the middle of the picture is my loco and a yellow boxcar. I put the Chinese tenements as a size reference.

This is what I was expecting. I am glad I made one more run thru with TS12. Too bad the built-in's are the way they are. TS12 is much better than TS10.

EDIT: The RealTeK built-in sound isn't very good. Buy a cheap sound card the difference is tremendous.
