Wetlands Texture

Hi;
I need a texture for the New Jersey wetlands, where part of my route is located.
I've been using the "Bristlebush", "Bush", and various other grasses, but it really doesn't look the way I would like.

Can anyone suggest a texture, or maybe a layout I could DL and use as a guide.

Summer or winter? If it is winter you could try my GF_reeds which was done to match magicland's reeds, both on the DLS.

Hi;
It's summer. My route starts (ends) in the Newark/Secaucus wetlands.

I wish that creating ground textures in TS2009 was as simple as doing it in TS2004. I used to take digital photos and use Photoshop to make whatever I wanted.

As for photos, I don't have any. It's hard to get photos from a moving car on the NJTP<g>

There are a lot of reeds, but I don't want to use the reeds object, as the number of them I would need causes a noticeable performance hit.
Maybe just a backdrop would work. I might be able to create that myself, using an area in the town where I live. Lots of reeds along the RR tracks.

Phots can be used, I have a bunch of photos I recently made into groundtextures. For TS2009, you just add a normal map and there's a couple of config format changes. You can still do things the old way but you have to make sure the trainz-build is set to the older number. What problems are you running into?
