Well done Auran!

Having gone through the torments of hades trying to get TRS2009 to run 'reasonably' well I was very dubious about purchasing 2010 but I suppose the Trainz bug has bitten too deep so I crumbled.:(

What a pleasant surprise. Ordered, no hassle. Downloaded, no hassle (although about 12 hours:eek:). Installed, no hassle (about an hour to build database etc.). Start to play, no problems so far. I'm quite impressed with the 'wobbly trees' even if they do move a bit fast. Looks like Auran have got it mostly right this time. Well done!:D

Only one fly in the ointment. How do you install SnC into 2010 if you already have 2009 on the system. There only seem to be two options, stand-alone or merge into 2009. Anyone any ideas?

Jeff.

This is what I observed. When you start installing SnC it shows where it will be installed. Then you should be seeing it as ts2010. I guess they programmed SnC installer such that it recognizes ts2010 automatically. It prefers ts2010 over ts2009 if both are installed on your pc.

Thanks for that. Installed it with no problems. Patrick31, how do you mean it breaks the industries? Any in particular?
I wanted SnC into 2010 as I'm mainly into 60's UK steam and it didn't run particularly well in 2009. It seems to run better in 2010 so thats good. Probably the only 'new' route of interest to me is the ECML and the old Garsdale stuff )I see they have put the wobbly trees into that route:)).

If you know which industries I'll take a look.

Cheers, Jeff.

I want hear horns and I want to see Amtrak

Move to America:hehe:

Sorry, I just had to put that in, but I know what you mean, I'd like to see a long American route, either running Amtrak trains or even the new Acela express...

I know Auran have future plans for Trainz 2010, so maybe they might include these fabulous trains along with there routes, one day in the near future...
