Hello,

I was just wondering, do BLI's (Broadway limited Imports) Paragon1 and Paragon2 models work with ALL DCC systems???

If not, what systems???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks,

Never had any problems running my E units off any system. I've used NCE and Lenz along with standard DC

You can add Digitrax to the list of compatible systems. Folks run them all the time up at the club I visit.

As far as I know, the BLI locos that have DCC fitted (they do have some locos with only sound - aka their 'BlueLine' series) are NMRA compatible. I know they work on NCE, and Digitrax, and likely most others as well. If you are unsure, try contacting BLI :) Or see if someone in your local area has a BLI loco so you can test it on your layout :)

umm...O.K., but the BLI company says that their Paragon2 series is equipped with DCC. Does this mean that they work with ALL DCC syatems??? Yes or no???

Two bits from my previous post I would recommend that you re-read :)

The second quote is the most important. They will be the most likely to say yes/no... They will also be able to say yes/no as to if they are NMRA compatible/compliant (NMRA is the group that basically sets the standards for model railways, including DCC, in the US and which is used in many other countries for a standard - such as in Aus). If it is, then it will work on any NMRA compatible/compliant DCC system (if a system isn't shown as NMRA compatible/compliant, then you may see issues).

Well yes. I have a Union Pacific SD40-2 with NCE DCC. And it works great. What system do you have?

I don't really have DCC yet. But I will tell you what I'm getting anyway........It's NCE.

I'm getting it in a month or two. I'm just saving up for it.

Yep it will work. But if you get a Blueline loco you will need a DCC decoder for the loco because the defalt is DC. Have fun!

O.K., thanks. But what about the Paragon1 series????

Because I have a Union Pacific MT-73 4-8-2 #7000 in HO scale, and I just wanted to know if that will run on DCC also.

O.K., I recently asked a guy at the front counter of my local hobby shop, and he said that Paragon1 DOES work with all DCC systems. So that's good.
