Hi, just a quick note to confirm that the Trainz Railway Simulator stand will be proudly up and running at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham over the weekend of Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd of November.
We'll be located in a prime position on Stand B2 which is just a short distance from the Main entrance along on the left hand side and we look forward to meeting forum members who are visiting the show.

Do drop by and say Hello and make yourself known to the crew. If you require any Christmas gifts, copies of TR2006, TR2009, TC3 & the Trainz Collection will be on sale.

Good job guys, I dropped by whilst I was at Warley today and saw your enthusiasm for Trainz selling it to people. Keep up the good work tomorrow!

cheers

Yes, having electricity is most condusive to a Trainz computer demonstration.

When we arrived to set up on Friday evening, we discovered that the organizers had omitted to provide the Trainz stand with a power supply.

Using our inititive, we tapped into the neighbouring stand's supply and everything went fine until mid-Saturday afternoon when all screens went blank. (Next door's lights went out too):hehe:

The sparks from the NEC managed to get us up & running after giving us the 3rd degree regarding our extension leads but happily, we were able to complete today's edifications with plenty of questions and interest shown by Joe Public.

It amazed me how many people can't tell the difference between Trainz and those other simulators, one gent told me he was unable to access the DLS, on questioning him further to see if I could be of help, it transpired that he had Rail Sim!

I politely directed him in the direction of the Just Trains stand..........

@benk 87, thanks for your kind words, they're appreciated.

Regards

Gam :)

WEN'T Saturday

GOOD YOU GOT YOUR POWER BACK

CAN'T wait for TRS2009 :D

Shame my massive laptop was runing the show single handed at one point! I went to see Eldavo so, I don't know exactly what happened to the battery life. (I did offer to get my smaller laptop out, which was in the hotel, but Gam wasn't too worried about it!)

If you wondered which one I was, I was the 6ft 2in tall guy with ginger hair, insainly hooking up one laptop (and monitor!) uinder the table, with another one on top of the table. The one Louise kept pointing out "That Railbus was made by him", "like the 317.... WEN is it going to be released?"
