W.P.B preserved line

hope5

Keen Reskinner
I am currently building my first route i hope to complete.
it is called wallacey prairie bay heritage railway or W.P.B for short.

it uses diesels and steam haulage with some new age diesels thrown in in a real life situation sense like:
The class 60s for sale
and the class 56s which are losing popularity
the diesels are:
BR class 08
BR class 20
BR class 24/25
BR class 31
BR class 33
BR class 37
BR class 40
BR class 45/46
BR class 47
BR class 50
BR class 55/56
BR class 60
the steam are:
Fowler 3F
Fowler 4F
Stainer 8F
Stainer black five
BR standard 9F
merchant navy 7P
GWR hall/king/manor
BR 04 rod
BR terrier
more will be noted when i decide to add them to the fleet

the railway starts at parkway after about a 5 mile journey it reaches st ran 3 miles after that is stooke where i have started and am continuing to build then it goes to storm hold (parkway and storm hold are both terminus's)
there are two junctions by both terminus's parkways junction is called spark junction and storm hold is snowy junction (both junctions lead to the only freight services of the line phillipson coal colliery and Hawkins power station) i am planing to build a livestock station a little way off of the main line bring freight stopping at all stations which will require them to be edited to accommodate the new freight service. and a oil service primarily based 5 miles off Hawkins power station so the line to it can be used without having to stretch my plans however it will increase the track used there to make more room for it.

the railway doesn't really work to a timetable despite the large locomotive number which anywhere else would probably demand a timetable.
the total railway I'm hopeing will total 20 miles so allso making it my biggest project. one of the things that i am considering is buying a games card and trainz 2010 and downloading the route into trainz 010 off my hard drive (or however you do it) to use the new features and advantages of the new trainz version which will probably include me buying the S&C add on for the new steam effects included with Tc3 and the new locomotives, and trainz driver for the locomotives in that.

one of my Major considerations for this project is allot of content i don't usually use to give it a fresh feeling when its done, which includes my first ever use of the red ballasted GT track personally i think it really suits the layout.
what really makes the route fictional is the fact the preservation group have edited the EPD units to turn them into DMUs so i don't have to lay 3rd rail :hehe:
here are some pictures.

the locomotive to be restored line including 37069 (in real life this locomotive is controlled by DRS and has a paranormal past)
the class 37 is like this until i edit a class 37 into a refurbished version as used by DRS or if someone could do it for me?
and a unidentified class 50 with a few parts of a black five by it which will turn out to be one of LMS Mans black fives when i get round to getting one.
and a old break van.
I will post some more pictures and information soon.:)
by the way this post has taken me a hour to write

The makeing of the route has been halted for a day or two till i get trainz 2009 then im going to put the route into 09.

I have decided to rename the route the south west grimsley preserved railway.
Stooke is going to be renamed maltory and is going to have a remake.
the progress to st ran is coming along nicely two or three baseboard's then I'm to it
I have decided to invest in the S&C add on pack for trainz 09 (which I'm getting tomorrow :udrool: ) to have the lovely new steam sounds/effects and locomotives which will make my layout a sight to behold.
more pics soon.

Long time no see.

This layout has been on the back burner for a while, but now i am finally getting back to it again, It has had yet another rename now being called: The Crest hill line. and the company running it being: The O'brien preservation limited. (O'brien being my middle sirname since i have both my dad and mums sirnames)
I have cut out allot of the stock running it to limit it a bit, but of course that is just what i decide to run depending if i put it on the DLS which i intend to.
The original route has been completely removed to allow a massive revamp. I may connect this route to a mainline that i have been making recently.
The layout is now primarily steam hauled, but of course since i have had a diesel upbringing (DMU's in particular) That does not mean diesels are out, far from it.
The station that you know from the first screenshots is having the track plan revamped, but only slightly. Parkway as it was originally called is now called St mei's halt (St because many a British town has the name of a saint and mei for the younger sister out of my neighbor totoro, you can expect to see other studio ghibli themed names in this, its a tribute sort of deal)
Thats all i have for now, screenshots soon.

Before i continue the route im going to patch 2009, since that should fix allot of problems such as vanishing wheels, and gain the extra benefits.
