I have not so far voted at all when I have a screenshot in the competition, but the one from

Epoche3bis4

is too good to resist. Excellent!

Peter.

PS. ... and I hadn't even noticed he'd voted for me either! Double thanks to you 'Epoche3bis4'.

A lot of nice screenshots this week, but only a few that IMHO visibly meet the "Terminus stations" theme. I am sure a lot of them are shot at or near one, but I guess that takes knowledge of those routes / locations.
So based on that, my votes go to:

Epoche3bis4 (although I am starting to think he just takes pictures instead of screenshots; take that as a compliment, unless ofc...)
Bhorton
... and if I was to add a 3rd vote: Electro

oknotsen,

Not wanting to contradict you in any way or provoke offence, I take your point.

However, you should note that the theme is "Terminus stations", not just big city terminus stations. Of course, small termini (like the one I chose at Padstow* a seaside destination on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall, England and at one of the ends of LSWR/SR's "withered arm") are just as much termini as London, Waterloo (at the other end of the line I chose). No doubt other screenshots have similar stories.

Peter.

* I have to admit that I wondered whether people might not recognise the one I chose as a terminus, but thought that I would ensure that I would mark it as "Padstow", so they could always look it up on Wikipedia or using Google. Though you may not be able to spot the buffer stops, the seaside location and it layout does, perhaps, indicate a terminus.

That's what I did and spent an interesting time on Google StreetView looking at the old track bed and railway station yard.

Just to explain

oknotsen,

Not wanting to contradict you in any way or provoke offence, I take your point.
I don't feel offended by your post at all.
What I tried, and most probably failed, to make clear is that my "feeling" with a terminus station is an "end of the line" station, which can be that deserted station at the end of the world or the huge station in a big city (Gare du Nord in Paris jumps to mind). Since I do not recognize the stations / locations in most of the screenshots, I picked those that had a visible "end of the line" in it.

I in no way tried to offend any of those people that posted a screenshot, as I tried to make clear with the "A lot of nice screenshots this week" I started with, and I also do not have the feeling you had the idea I tried. Just trying to make clear that even though bloody obvious by the person posting the screenshot it is not always visible for those looking at it.

Anyway, at the end of the day my vote has the same value in the vote count as those who did not add an (unneeded) explanation to their vote :hehe:.
