I think Windows Vista blocks the CMP from working and downloads going into the rail yard. it worked when i used xp on a slower computer today, but i never got to use the cars because it kept freezing. Can someone help me to download the trains and avoid the windows vista thing.

CMP works with Vista just as Trainz work with Vista. Just make sure you have the latest graphics card driver which supports OpenGL. I have ATI card and TRS2006 run without problems under Vista. Don't know about nVidia cards but I've heard they still have problems.

?

i have windows vista and it says when i click start [insert the correct cd rom and restart the applcation] what do i do??

@miills
Ignore it.
I have never gotten that, ever. I have TRS2006 and Vista. Try ignoring it.
You should be abled to run Trainz without the disk in.

@LTrain
To run CMP, and from what I learned save routes, with Vista you must have the application files must being running as administrator.
They all should be found in:

C:/Program Files/Auran/TRS2006/Bin

I have 2006 on vista home premium with a nvidia GeForce 8400, dual core processor 1.67GHz and 3GB RAM.
Trainz and CMP work fine by selecting "run this programme as an administrator" in the compatability page of the programme properties.

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=6513

has the details and it worked fine for me when I installed 2006 on the new PC.
