What is the history behind the locomotives? The 2nd one looks very much like a Baldwin.

JCitron, I'll have to get that information later, but it was only by chance that I knew about it.
Correct, according to it's owners, it's a Baldwin.

And 5917 is expected to be the third engine for the annual Steamfest.

PS: Now I wonder how modern cars got into an old B&W photo??!

@JCitron: here's the relevant info for the two classes of locomotive featured: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_D59_class_locomotive (the Baldwin which as Red said, you correctly guessed as to the builder ).
