I have the VSB kuid 69937:200122 set up and it operates as expected. I am looking for an alternative that does not require me to assign a driver as either 'express', 'standard', or 'slow freight'.
The reason is that I have a passenger train which is normally an express but I want to cut its speed down just before coming into a station so that it doesn't overshoot the station. To make this work correctly using VSB I have to assign all my trains as express except for the passenger which is designated 'standard'. I do that because I want the two speeds to show up on the VSB sign. Slow freight does not show up as a speed on the sign.
What I am really looking for is a trigger or a track marker that I can place where I want the speed to be adjusted and then if that command is placed in the appropriate trains driver command schedule it would implement the new speed.
Anything thing like that our there? Any suggestions? As I mentioned VSB is working fine, and it would fill the bill completely if I could set the express train speed limit less than the standard train, but VSB will not allow that.
