Yes, it's annoying as well as bad manners Angela, but don't let them drag you down to their level. Just do your thing.

The forums seem to me to be dominated by young gits that imagine the number of posts they make is contributing something. Many seem to post with no real purpose or answer anyone's questions, just pointless posting. Most of these guys don't actually seem to have made any content just lot of noise. The forums are becoming more and more a waste of time. Guess I'll go and make a couple of houses in Gmax.

I agree it's very annoying. You go out of your way to help someone and get not even an acknowledgement in reply.
Then another question on same subject from same person a week later - needless to say I won't be bothering to reply anymore. His loss and not a young person either. Manners just seem to pass some folks by.

I wouldn't let it get to you. There will always be rude people and this forum is no exception. It doesn't take long to figure out who not to respond to around here. Your posts to others have been very helpful to me in the past though the posts weren't necessarily intended for me. Thanks for all of your contributions to this community.

Don't be distraught over this. It has happened to me many, many times. I used to think that I was being banished for some reason then found that if I spend more than five minutes (on average) to answer a post it will not show up. I have taken to using notepad to create posts then copy and paste it into the forum. Have not lost one since!

I too have noticed this, and its becoming quite annoying.
Often times the said posts are useless, waste of mental usage, a.k.a wasting my time reading them.
But, Angela, remember it members like you that keep at least 50% of this forum mature and a joy to read.
Yes, other peoples posts can be annoying when they don't know what they are talking about, however I have always enjoyed reading your posts.
I have always found your posts to be gentle, polite and well thought out.
Which is my opinion, a true mark of intelligence and courtesy. They way it should be.
So my point to you, Angela, is, don't let it get you down, the way you help others only to have them leave, just makes you all the more respectable in my eyes, and I'm sure I can speak for many others here.
I recall once when I was mad, you suggested a period of meditation, which I'm sure my definition of meditation is a little different than yours,, but it worked.
So here is my suggestion for you,
Get a nice cold Coke, sit down by the television and pop in a funny movie, or perhaps a hot chocolate and a fireplace?
Whatever your preference, I suggest some time to yourself to think and relax, yes, relax! I know it seems impossible in the modern working world, but you'll find time, just you and your thoughts.
That is the best way in the world I can cool down.
And remember you have friends here.

With the way things have been lately, one could easily make the assumption I did.
It probably is the disappearing posts given how Angela rarely sounds off, however it speaks volumes if it didn't mean disappearing posts...

I sometimes I think quite a few people who post do not even have Trainz on their computers.....As the same names seem to pop up on all the other sim type forums..They just seem to like stirring the !!!!!!!...and getting genuine posters riled up...just a thought from one knocking on 80..Angela has given me quite a few ideas both being West Country fans,one of the first routes I downloaded was her Plymouth- St.Germans,so keep up the good work.L
