USLW Redesigned and Ready To Go!

USLW

www.uslw.net
As most of you may have learned, Jointed Rail has purchased United States Locomotive Works and the user-driven TrainzForums.com. For a brief moment, confusion was brought up and fears that USLW would be shut down arose. This was far from the reality.

After countless hours of diligent work, the members of USLW and Jointed Rail have brought together a beautiful new website aimed at providing an even more pleasing experience for the user, showcasing excellent work made by the team.

As the changes are being finalized, existing content is being added to the website rapidly. Members can expect all of the existing content to be up within the next few days.

Users will not be expected to pay for any of USLW's content. However, users must register with the new website to access downloads. Registration is completely free, and is different from your Jointed Rail and TrainzForums.com accounts.

A brief history: USLW started in 2007 as a result of a merger of two superpower Trainz sites; Trainz Locomotive Works and United States Trainz (TLW and UST, respectively.) Members from both sites were eager to begin working together as, at the time, one of the largest Trainz organization besides Auran® itself. Although some big names in Trainz development jumped ship, both teams remained largely intact and began creating some fascinating projects.

We are very excited to start this new chapter in USLW. Trainz enthusiasts can expect innumerable amounts of new content in the near future. We appreciate all the support, and we'd love to hear your comments!

So much good stuff over there. The new curtains and hedges look great guys. Makes me wonder who got stuck mowing the lawn though... :)

It impossible to register though if the "register" button covers up the darn scrambled letters you guys insist on using as part of the registration process.

Im logged into the main site, But it wont let me log into the forums

uslw.net and the trainzforums.com sides are seperate entities thus seperate user databases. If you want to login to the forum youll have to register there as well.

I tried downloading the the WSOR SD40-2 but it had errors and I'm using TS209. So it hasn't been updated I assume or has it?

No one said everything was going to be updated to work in the newer versions. USLW is just getting the content reuploaded that was there before.

Someone will have to check why you guys are getting those errors.

TrainzForums requires you to pass Captcha screening. If that is done incorrectly, you will receive an error. You must also provide accurate information, including passing the age verification to join.

TrainzForums has seldom given anyone errors while registering. As of right now, the forum logs haven't generated any error reports.

As for the website, please be aware of this:

All content being uploaded is original from the old USLW website, and none of the files have been updated from older versions. Newer items may have been created with newer versions of Trainz. Because we're in the early stages of the website, some content may have issues. Likewise, some dependency packs [Which is probably the issue you have with the WSOR SD40] have NOT been uploaded yet, and ARE required. We ask that you bear with us and be patient while the rest of the content is moved to the new website.

well, I don't know why it hasn't generated any reports, cuz I have done all that was asked and entered the captcha words correctly, ticked the 'over 16' box and this is what I get. It is very frustrating! :(

If that's the case, it seems like a database issue. Since we switched over to a new database, certain parts of the forum could still be looking for information from an older database.

I know it seems like a big pain, but you'll have to wait it out until we can get everything running smoothly within the next few days.

Just an update, I tried again today and everything finally went thru (whew); it registered me and I can now access the forum. Thank You!
