Using Anyrail in Trainz

I've used the anyrail demo to make a couple ho layouts, since I don't have the time or money to actually build them, I was wondering if there was a way to bring them into Trainz? I would use the track plans as a template to lay track and other objects.

from their manual, it appears that the export options of anyrail are very limited.
I've recently purchased Transdem, together with the DEM data and maps available on the Internet it's very powerful.

If you're looking for a no cost solution, then it's straightforward to scan a map section
, cut it to fit a tile - these can be used as an underlay for modelling. I forget the exact dls description but they're on the DLS.

I had a quick look anyrail website - I suspect that it's not much different from surveyor - why not reduce the learning curve and try Surveyor directly?Colin

I know how to use surveyor, I've made several routes. It would just be easy though to use the track plans as a template so all I had to do was follow the lines. Just something I thought I would try, I probably wont do it.

Colin mentions basemaps. These are static scenery objects that you replace the generic image on them with one of your own by the same name. Each basemap is about 1000x1000 pixels and is displayed on the object. When you've created and committed your basemaps, you then place them on the baseboard in Surveyor and then lay the track on top. With the layers, I can't remember if you have layers in TS2010, you can lock the object so it doesn't move all over the place in error should you bump it. I built the Scenic and Relaxed route that's on the DLS that way by tracing over an old Atlas track plan.

Hope this helps.
