User Data in T:ANE.

I can't see a 'User Data' option in T:ANE (build 74539) anywhere.
Does this mean that all the downloading from the DLS and route
building will be lost?

If you didn't specify a particular location on installation, it will be in your appdata folder within your user space on C: drive. Note that appdata is normally a hidden folder.

Also, to check or modify the location that the user data is stored, click Settings on the Launcher then the Install tab. Be aware that modifying the location does not automatically move the content to the new location, and the game will need to be restarted afterwards.

P.S. Are you aware of the 75xxx build on the beta testing website?

Thanks for the replies, I altered the location, but all I've managed to do
is clear everything I've downloaded, and remove the routes I was building.
All I'm left with is the game as it was when I first downloaded it.

Did you not read my comment regarding that? T:ANE does not move content to the new location for you - you have to do this yourself.

With the official release just around the corner, I think we will be seeing a lot of these types of issues. If you have not done so yet, perhaps have you thought of creating a short aide-memoire to help the average user get on the right track. I know we all want more features and more power in our games, too bad that some modern programs and installations are getting so complicated that you almost need to be a certified geek to get it all done correctly.

I've now got a poll set up in the Trainz Community section regarding new tutorials - you are welcome to vote in it if you want.
