US DEM's?

Hi;
I am trying to download DEM's for the US, but the USGS Seamless server is very slow tonight, and keeps freezing on me.
Does anyone know of an alternate site for these maps?

I'm only looking for elevation maps, not Georeferenced maps.

http://data.geocomm.com/ has US DEM's sorted by State and County. Each DEM file from them is partitioned into blocks of several square miles, so if you're planning a particularly large route, you may want to merge the DEM parts together into one DEM file to use in trainz.

Are there any free maps on this site? I checked it out, and from what I can tell, they want me to purchase the data. That is not an option for me. The project isn't important enough to warrant having to purchase data.
