Urgent Help Needed!!!

I had been running TRS2004 all evening last night testing some new skins. I exited Trainz, adjusted the color of the skin slightly, then reopened Trainz. I went to the Railyard to check the adjustment, and nothing appeared! Not one of my items was visible! The items names appear, but when I click on them, none of the 3D items appear!

The camera does move when you click on different objects. (Going from a small 0-6-0 to a huge 2-10-4, for instance.)

Also, when in Surveyor, some of the content is not visible either...

TrainzObjectz finds no errors, and no missing content.

I can't figure out what has happened! And as it is, I cannot really use TRS...

Check the texture size before you made the change and afterwards. Some texture editors compress by default and Trainz is unable to understand a compressed texture file. They sometimes add in an alpha channel, GIMP tends to do this which confuses Trainz as well. Finally double check to make sure you did not change the size.

Cheerio John

I will check that. I may have to re-install the original...

Would that affect all the other files, though? That seems odd...

Anyway, I will try...

I redownloaded and reinstalled all the items I had changed, and nothing has changed...

Am I going to have to do a re-install???

Pretty sure that is TRS04, if so delete the file
C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2004\CACHE\world_cache_Dispatcher.chump (assuming a default install) and re-start Trainz...

Grasping at straws here, but I would make sure that I still had the folder TRS2004\World\Dispatcher\Downloads and that it contained around a zillion folders. I would right click on the background inside the downloads folder and select 'Arrange Icons > Modified', then I would delete the last-installed files, kill the dispatcher.chump file again, restart Trainz and look see if things are back. Then I would repeat and repeat always deleting the last-installed content till either things are back to normal or I became satisfied that the thing really was totally busted before I even considered a re-install....

Andy :)

EDIT - late thought - move everything under the World\Custom\ folder out onto the desktop and re-start Trainz, could be something there is massively corrupted....
