how can I get a refund for the game I bought that does not work now. I just bought it and I want my money back who do I get in touch with -(

Uness it has a cracked disk ... It works ... You just have to know how to get it running ... I was lost when I first got it ... Later on it all made sence what I was doing wrong. Describe your problems. Is it new and never registered by anyone else ?

This guy has also been whinging in the Trainz section at TS.com.

Without a reasonably articulate description of the problem or even which version of Trainz it is difficult to offer any assistance. Could be just about anything, from not installing/running as admin or setting permissions on the folders (not even a mention of the OS) or maybe even having bought a secondhand copy and finding as many have done they are worthless if the serial number has been registered.

More facts and less of a rant might enable some assistance to be offered...

Well it is a fun simulator ... what would we be doing if it hadn't been invented ?

When I was a kid, we had no video games, not even Pac Man ... our favorite kind of fun was burning ants with a magnifying glass, and building tree forts to camp out in overnight. We had a B&W TV, and 45's vinyl records, and if you were lucky you had a Tandy (by Radio Shack) portable 4" reel to reel tape recorder with a cheap microphone. Flashlight tag was about as high tech as it got !

PM me if you need assistance

or buy railworks

Trolling alert...?

Believe me if you can't get Trainz running, then RW ain't any easier. No firing up a blank canvas in Surveyor to start building a route or having a Transdem created terrain/map up and running in 30 minutes? Expect to send hours if not days messing about with blueprints and plotting markers in Google Earth. Of course if your interest is purely driving then RW might keep you happy for an hour or two, until you decide the next scenario you want to try requires the purchase of $80 worth of additional payware...

I tend to agree ... Wail Works :'( is not the way to go:hehe: Trainz rules ... That is until MSTS2 is brought back to life, out from the cylindrical filing cabinet, time vault.

MSTS2 was to have every (major) rail line in the world, and animated turnouts, with a Horseshoe Curve route :mop: :'( :mop:

Can you still get those little wooden trains that have magnets? Maybe we could have a whip-round.....;)

Doug
Those already are in Trainz, with Brio wooden pine track and bridges.:hehe: And some have great whistles !

My flashlight had an illuminated traffic cops orange cone attached, and was an imaginary proton beam lazer !:hehe: I even had red, green, yellow, blue, colored lens glass.

Did you have a square magnifying glass or a round one? I used to burn ants too. The magnifying glass was like a laser beam coming out of a flying saucer (my magnifying glass was round), burning the population below. Just like in War of the Worlds.

Hi Everybody.
When I was a kid, we had no video games, not even Pac Man ... our favorite kind of fun was burning ants with a magnifying glass, and building tree forts to camp out in overnight.

Strange how even before the days of mass communication some kids games where the same all over the world. We used to find here in Britain that with the big red ants if you could get the beam of the magnifying glass concentrated enough they used to explode. You do not see kids out in the street playing such wonderful games these days.

I can remember the days before most people had a television. In the winter the local church used to run film night's for us kids. With the old projector ticking away we used to watch the old Charlie Chaplin and Keystone cops silent films. Inevitably at some point in the evening the film would break and the lights would come on again with the inevitable throwing of Apple cors, orange peel and banana skins at one another.

Coming to think of it the church on our estate seemed to be at the center of much of what we did and in that way created a great community with days out, sporting events and hosting the Cubs, Scouts and boys brigade etc.

shame they do not seem to do anything like that now with the kids
Bill
